Residential Care Homes
24-hour care in safe, supportive homes for adults with complex needs
Love means planning ahead
You love them, but their needs are more than you can give.
For years, it’s all been on you. The physical care, the emotional load, the appointments and therapies and behaviour management.
Choosing a new home for your child doesn’t mean you’re giving less. It means you’re ensuring they receive the level of care, safety and attention they deserve, in an environment as warm and supportive as home.
Reliable support 24 hours a day
Professionals who understand complex needs
Emotional warmth, patience and respect
Predictable routines that reduce anxiety
Where all their needs are met
Yad Voezer’s two residential homes — for men and women, respectively — exist to merge two needs: quality care alongside real caring.
Staff are CQC registered and receive ongoing training in complex needs, safeguarding and behavioural support. Each home has a dedicated manager and senior team responsible for care standards and day-to-day oversight. Mr Stewart Chikwature, our Registered Manager, oversees all homes to ensure the highest standards of care.
Residents feel safe and build real relationships, both with caregivers and their peers. They benefit not just from the homes, but from all Yad Voezer’s extensive services. They join outside clients in the day centre, where all benefit from a range of educational activities, sports and seasonal programs.
Life beyond the home
Supported living residents attend our Day Centre, where they benefit from a wide range of programmes that enrich daily life and build life skills, including:
Cycling
Sports
Swimming
Music
Work Experience & Training
Cooking and baking
Farming
Craft workshops
Experiencing the joys of Judaism
Yiddishkeit is not an extra; it’s part and parcel of life in Yad Voezer’s homes.
Our volunteers bring the spirit of Shabbos and Yom Tov to residents. Shabbos meals are led by a host every week and feature singing and and an uplifted atmosphere. Our men daven in shul on Shabbos and enjoy a Leil Shishi Thursday night.
Yiddishkeit is strong. Your child will tzind Chanukah licht, eat in a sukkah and shake the arba minim. They will feel the joy of Purim, be benched erev Yom Kippur, partake and lead a Pesach Seder, dress up on Purim, and pick flowers for Shevuos.
Just like home.
